A little about Woodrun......

In the beginning...

Woodrun was developed in 1973 by Woodrun, Inc. and was transferred to Woodrun Property Owners Association, Inc. in 1981.  At its inception, Woodrun was designed as a weekend get-away with small cabins and camping.  However, as more property owners desired to build larger homes and make Woodrun their permanent residence, the building restrictions were changed to allow for larger homes.

Why we love it...

Woodrun is a quiet, private and wooded, gated lake community which consists of 339.30 acres and a 58-acre lake with largemouth bass, bream, crappy and catfish. There are 429 building lots and 140 camping lots. The clubhouse is available for the use of all property owners, there are two swimming pools one located at the Clubhouse and one in the campgrounds. There are playgrounds for the children and community trash collection.  Woodrun maintains its own water system which is treated regularly and audited by the Hardeman County Health Department. High speed internet is available for those hard working individuals that like to or have the opportunity to work from home.

There are currently sixty-seven (67) homes in Woodrun and sixty-three (63) campers on lots.  Woodrun is operated by a Board of Directors which meets on the first Saturday of each month at the clubhouse.

Woodrun is a diverse community of retired and working adults of various ages who have made Woodrun their home to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life and traffic. Most importantly, we are a close community of friends.

Woodrun boasts an emergency Heli-pad that is used by local EMS as well as residents of the community for life threatening health conditions where you can be life flighted to either Memphis or Jackson, TN hospitals in a matter of minutes rather than hours.

For the nature enthusiast, Woodrun is home to various wildlife and you can often see deer grazing, eagles and hawks nesting, and the occasional fox running through the wooded areas.  Of course, there are plenty of playful squirrels, Canadian geese and mallard ducks that are more than happy to call Woodrun home as well.

Location

Woodrun is located in Hardeman County, just on the outskirts of Middleton, Tennessee. We are the perfect country, lake community, located at the southern base of TN off of Hwy 57 with many amenities within 1/2 hour to an hour away.  Middleton does boast of a small community grocery store, 3 gas stations, a Dollar General, a hardware store, a gym, a couple restaurants and several health facilities.  We are also home to Thyssen-Krupp elevator company and several logging/lumber companies. Middleton has a library, several parks, post office, fire department and police department.
